About COS

Who is Central Ohio Subarus?

I, Nathan,(Mr.COS) joined the Columbus Subaru community in the fall of 2001, when he bought his 2000 Impreza 2.5RS. I met the small group at Speeds. There were about six of us there. There was Nate E., Mike A, Ed, and a few others.

We (COS) started growing the group through what was then called I-Club (now NASIOC). We would post in the Mid-West forum, much like we do now and plan events. I started adding everyone in the area to my Buddy list on I-Club. The list grew fairly quickly. Every time we wanted to have an event I would painstakingly invite each member through clicking each members PM or e-mail. Wow that was a real pain.

Eventually I started the Yahoo Group Central Ohio Subarus. This was so I could send everyone an e-mail without clicking each person’s name in I-Club. The group has grown quickly in the last couple years. I added a special member, my wife, Trisha(Mrs.COS) in 2002. The club has grown in leaps and bounds. We are pretty proud of that, and you should be too!

We thank each and every member that has contributed over the years. Without you, none of this could be possible.
Thanks again, and remember, without your help none of this is any fun.
Nathan & Trisha

Who are Mr. & Mrs. COS

Nathan is a software developer who has had a love for motorsports and cars all his life. He grew up in the Dayton Area and moved to Columbus after graduating from Wright State. When he moved here, he joined the online automotive communities to meet people and get to know the area. That seemingly little step has turned into a passion for making friends, running club events and hanging out with others with like minded loves of cars and Subarus especially.

In 2002, Nathan met Trisha, who is also from the Dayton area. They quickly knew there was no one else for each other. They share a passion for all things automotive. They were married in 2004.

Trisha has a passion for photography, cooking, knitting and a weak spot for anything small and furry. She came to Columbus with her 2 dogs and 3 cats. She runs a small photography business, and is a full time SAHW. Their family has now grown a bit with the addition of 4 chickens that live on a friends farm.
